BELCHERTOWN — Two new faces will join the five-member Select Board next term following Monday’s town election.
Nicole Miner, who ran on a economic platform advocating for a fiscal responsible budget, and Whitney Kuhnlenz, a new resident who focused on the future of schools and buildings in town, will take the places of Ron Aponte and Peg Louraine on the Select Board.
The two incumbents decided not to run for reelection.
Under 10% of registered voters cast ballots during the election.
None of the seven races were contested, and candidates in four of the races were incumbents running for reelection.
Additionally, Planning Board member Leonard Bilodeau was promoted from associate member to senior member, and the Town Clerk’s office is processing write-in candidates for the Board of Assessors seat and Housing Authority seat.
School Committee members Ruby Bansal and Amy Lamothe were both reelected for another term, while Theresa Camerlin will continue as the town clerk and Collen Duroshea will serve as a member of the Board of Health.
