The Belchertown Twirlers competed at the Northeast Regional Championships at Holyoke Community College over the weekend. After finishing in first place at the Massachusetts State Championships back on March 23, Belchertown’s team of seven earned a bid to Regionals looking to bring home more hardware.

And just as they did at states, the Belchertown Twirlers again grabbed first place. They won the Primary Twirl Team, Youth Twirl Team and Youth Dance Twirl division titles over the course of the weekend.

It’s been quite the run for the Belchertown Twirlers, which includes Everly LaVallee, Quinn Lavallee, Emelia Maldanis, Evelyn Maldanis, Harper Oberly, Delaney Ochs and Mya Weise. They’ve also been just as successful individually as they have been together.

Ochs won Pre-Teen Miss Majorette at Regionals and was also the Northeast Regional Strut champion. Emelia Maldanis, the Pre-Teen Massachusetts solo champion, won Pre-Teen Miss Majorette Royalty of the Northeast over the weekend. Both Ochs and Maldanis competed in a solo twirling routine, strutting routine and modeled in a gown during an interview with two judges.

They each have qualified to represent the Northeast region in the Miss Majorette of America Pageant and the Grand National Twirling Championships in July at the National Baton Twirling Championships.

Elsewhere, Quinn LaVallee is the Advanced Massachusetts State Queen Champion and was the runner-up in the Beginner Juvenile Northeast Regional Pageant on Sunday. Evelyn Maldanis took third in the Beginner Juvenile Northeast Regional Pageant and fourth in the Massachusetts State Beginner Juvenile solo division.

Everly LaVallee won the Beginner Tiny Tot Northeast Regional Pageant, the Beginner Tiny Tot Massachusetts State solo title and the Advanced Tiny Tot Massachusetts State Queen championship. She has qualified to compete in the Beginner Pageant at the National Baton Twirling Championships.

Weise took fourth in Beginner Pre-Teen Northeast Regional Queen while Oberly finished third in the Novice Juvenile Regional Wars division.
