Gov. Maura Healey cast her ballot at an Arlington elementary school Tuesday morning, and after dropping off Dunkin’ coffee and donuts for poll workers turned north to spend most of Election Day in her native — and more electorally active — New Hampshire.

The governor urged Bay Staters to get out and vote Tuesday in a video posted to X, which showed Healey and First Lady Joanna Lydgate toting Munchkins boxes into the gymnasium at Hardy Elementary School and filling in their ballots. The governor’s official office had advised the 9 a.m. public event on Monday.

Later Tuesday, Healey’s campaign office said the governor would be campaigning in New Hampshire for the Democratic Party’s ticket of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and for former Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig for Granite State governor.

Healey visited the town hall in Hampton Falls, where she grew up, at 1:10 p.m. before joining Craig at Throwback Brewery in North Hampton at 1:30 p.m. The governor and gubernatorial hopeful headed next to greet people voting at the cafeteria of Healey’s alma mater, Winnacunnet High School in Hampton. Healey and Craig also planned a joint appearance at the University of New Hampshire in Durham at 4 p.m.

Just after polls close Tuesday night, Healey is expected to be back in Massachusetts for the state Democratic Party’s bash at the SoWa Power Station in the South End. That 8:15 p.m. appearance takes place a stone’s throw from Healey’s former South End residence.

“But just remember, we’re Massachusetts. We were the home to the American Revolution; where this whole great country began, this American democracy that we have, started. So celebrate Massachusetts, celebrate this great country of ours, and get out and vote today,” Healey said in her video on X.
