Wendy Hudson: Irked by energy legislation

State legislators are once again attempting to limit energy competition in Massachusetts with a resubmission of a bill that failed in 2021. I oppose the bills introduced by Representative Frank Moran that would close the competitive retail energy market and remove my energy choice. I was disappointed to see this legislation introduced again. I know more than 1,000 Massachusetts energy customers fought against this legislation last year. I like being able to choose my energy supplier because competition keeps my costs low and it stimulates innovation among suppliers. Competition and innovation important and customers deserve to have a choice and options.
