Sharon Martula: Excitement grows for DoozyDo Parade

What is the best time you’ve had in a long time in Northampton? Answer, the DoozyDo Parade.

And, it is coming again this year. Don’t you want to be part of it this time around? My family and I had so much fun. There was my daughter, her husband, my granddaughter and of course Molly, the family’s comfort dog. When asked why she marched last year, my granddaughter said, “It was a community and we owe so much for what this community has done for our Mimi.” (Me)

Come join us on Sept. 23 for this year’s parade. There will be bands and dancers, and more. Unlike last year when there was a fee for joining the parade, this year will be looking for donations if you can and wish to. Donations go towards helping this community provide much needed support for us, who wish to remain at home and engage in place.

We’d love to have you and your family march with us as a family unit or simply alone as part of Northampton Neighbors’ contingent.

Thank you. If you’re a Neighbor you can go directly to Doozy Do parade website. If you’re not a Neighbor, you can be one by logging onto the NN website. There is no fee to join and that gets you into the community of many people aging and engaging in place.
