Kelley Glista: Paradise City's parking lot

I was surprised to read Saturday’s front-page article “City says illegal [King Street] car lot must go” when just the day before I had reflected on how much more attractive the area presents now that it is covered up with cars.
In my opinion, it is very sad that the city intends to revert back to the dystopian blight of weeds and cracked pavement stretching over those barren acres, in light of the facts that the lots were cleaned of contaminants, and no pink hotels, boutiques or swinging hot spots took interest until the lots were purchased with the known intention of creating a car dealership in 2023.
By the way, kudos to Planning Board member Sam Taylor for calling out the council on unfairly changing the rules.
