As a follow up to the article about us assisting migrants in Mexico, some good news from Oaxaca [“Our hearts were shattered,” Gazette, April 15]. Because we have some money in the bank, we have secured a new place with sleeping space for 50 women, children and a few families. Our kitchen will be expanded and we will no longer be interfering with local business who (understandably) didn't like migrants milling about in front of their stores. This is a huge upgrade for the folks we are helping. Thank you Northampton: https://oaxacanmigrantfundraiser.org/.
