Current Jones Library building plans use synthetic slate roofing and replace the windows in the 1928 building with modern look-alike windows, as originally planned. An Nov. 2 Gazette article incorrectly stated the library will use asphalt roofing and repair rather than replace windows [“New library bid comes in under target”].

These substitutions were rejected before the latest bid round, maintaining these sustainability features.
