PELHAM — An incumbent member of the Board of Health earned reelection to a three-year position in the only contested election at the town’s May 14 election.

In an election where write-ins appear to have won many of the seats, William E. Pula earned another term on the health board after facing a challenge from Jessica Brooke Steier, 92-55.

Incumbents who will continue to serve after winning reelection include Robert V. Agoglia for a three-year seat on the Select Board; Peter C. Wilson for a five-year seat on the Planning Board; and Charles H. Thompson for a three-year seat on the library trustees. William Sherr, appointed to the School Committee last year, won a three-year term to remain. The write-ins who earned election have until May 30 to inform Town Clerk Melissa A. Hibbard if they will accept or decline the votes cast by 163 town voters.

For School Committee seats, where two additional three-year terms and one one-year term were available, incumbent Margaret Stancer received the most votes, 29 for the three-year position and six for the one-year position, with all others getting just one vote apiece for either the other three-year term or one-year term

For two additional library trustees posts, Maia Dearington Porter, an incumbent, got the most write-ins for the three-year term, while Nancy F. Arons received the most write-ins for a two-year term.

For two positions on Cemetery Commission, Daniel P. McCullough got the most write-ins for the three-year term and incumbent John Philip Zahradnik received the most write-ins for the two-year term. Robert Rowell, an incumbent, took the most write-in votes for a three-year term on Board of Assessors. And for a one-year term as moderator, Daniel Elias Robb got 51 write-in votes that would allow him to retain the position, if he chooses to do so.

Only for a one-year term as auditor was there a failure to elect, as all blank ballots were submitted.
